1 Do Hotbodies Racing undertail kits come with license plate mounting hardware? Where do the license plate brackets mount?

Yes, all of our kits include license plate bracket mounting brackets and hardware. However, we do NOT drill the holes in the undertails. We leave it up to the customer to decide where they would like to drill two small holes and mount their tag. This gives the customer the option to use another style mount or no plate at all for certain customers with show/race bikes.

2 How do I remove my stock black plastic expanding fasteners on my bike?
You push the center part in and this will release the fastener, then you just simply pull it out by the outside edge.
3 I received these plastic blue things with my kit, what are they used for?
Those are wire tap splices, they are supplied with our kits to help make wiring quick and easy. Simply put the two wires that you want to connect into the slots and then clamp down the metal plate and this will connect the two wires on the inside, then fold the protective cover to close it.
4 Do I need resistors/load equalizers to slow down the blinkers?
We actually designed the LED's to blink faster, since they are smaller than stock, so they will draw more attention from drivers behind you. If you wish to slow them down, we recommend a 20-25 watt 8 ohm non-inductive resistor wired inline with the RED wires on our kits. You can check with Radio Shack or www.customled.com for pricing and availability.
5 What happens if I notice chips or other damages to the paint after use?
Road wear-and-tear is normal and happens on the OEM stock parts as well. Purchasing a rear tire hugger will help protect your undertail and keep it nice and clean for a much longer time. Hotbodies Racing will not refund or replace any part that has been used and damaged due to normal road wear.
6 What do I do if the LED lights on my undertail burn out?
We do have a full warrantee program on our lights. If they go bad all you need to do is contact customer service and have a copy of a receipt or invoice ready to fax and we will send you a replacement light at no charge. For those who have lost their receipts and cannot track them down we do sell replacements for $40.00 for the pair plus shipping.
7 Can I mount an undertail designed for a newer bike to an older model bike that is not listed on the website?
Possibly, there is an old saying "nothing that time and money can’t fix", but our undertails are designed to fit the specific year make and model described.
